Nestled among the beautiful towering mountains of Pocahontas County, WV—near Snowshoe Mountain Ski Resort, CASS Railroad and Green Bank Radio Observatory—the Inn at Mountain Quest is a tranquil retreat from the ordinary. The family-owned and operated bed and breakfast Inn centers around a quaint 1905 farmhouse. A separate modern wing offers 12 uniquely themed guest rooms with common areas that include a recreation center, and an extensive private library filled with unusual books, kaleidoscopes and musical carousels collected through years of travel.
Come to relax—with a good book, a comfy rocker on the front porch, beautiful views and fresh mountain air. Come to play—with plenty to do at the Inn and on the surrounding farm, or visit the many attractions that abound in this beautiful mountain playground in the Allegheny Mountains. About the Inn
Check In & Check Out

If you require a late check-out, please contact the front desk in advance. Late check-out requests are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed, but we are always happy to accommodate when possible.
At departure, please:

Arrival at the Inn
As you arrive at the Inn at Mountain Quest, we invite you to slow down and take in the quiet of the surrounding mountains. Guest parking is located in the circular driveway in front of the farmhouse.
For check-in, please enter through the farmhouse door, where a member of our team will be happy to welcome you and assist with your arrival. If you arrive outside of standard check-in hours or do not see staff immediately, please allow a moment—Mountain Quest operates at a relaxed pace designed to honor the peaceful setting.
From the moment you arrive, we hope you feel at home and supported as you settle into your stay.
Telephone & Connectivity
The Inn at Mountain Quest is located within the GBO Quiet Zone, one of the most radio-quiet regions in the world. As a result, cellular service is not available in the immediate area.

Free long-distance calls may be made from your guest room by dialing:

Guests may also receive incoming calls during their stay. Callers should dial
(304) 799-7267 and then enter your room number (for example, 12 for Room 1-2). -
To retrieve voicemail messages, press Intercom + 777, enter your room number, then password 1234#, and follow the prompts.

To call another room, press Intercom followed by the room number (for example, Intercom + 21 for Room 2-1).

Internet Access
To preserve the peaceful nature of the property, Wi-Fi is not provided at the Inn.
Each guest room is equipped with:

Please note: A $25 replacement charge will be applied if the ethernet cord or USB adapter is missing at checkout.
Smoking Policy
The Inn at Mountain Quest is a non-smoking facility.

All guest rooms are strictly non-smoking.

A $250 cleaning fee will be charged for violations.

A designated smoking receptacle is available outside the Inn for guest convenience.
Electrical Outlets
In each room, the top outlet of the wall receptacle is controlled by the light switch near the door. If the switch is off, the top outlet will not have power.
Refrigerators
Please ensure the refrigerator in your room remains plugged into the bottom outlet to maintain continuous power.
Meals

Breakfast is served daily from 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM in the farmhouse dining rooms.

Lunch and dinner are not currently offered on site.

Television & Entertainment

Satellite television is available in the Game Room only. Instructions are posted near the TV.

A large collection of DVD movies is also located in the Game Room.
Kindly return DVDs after viewing so others may enjoy them.
Ice & Microwave
An ice machine and microwave are available for guest use behind the bar in the Game Room.
Housekeeping Services
To preserve the quiet, restful nature of the Inn, housekeeping services are provided upon request or automatically for stays of longer than two (2) nights.
If you would like housekeeping service during your stay, please contact the front desk and we will be happy to assist.
Irons & Ironing Boards
Irons and ironing boards are available upon request. Please contact the front desk if needed.
Fire Safety
Fire extinguisher locations and evacuation plans are posted on the inside of each guest room door. We encourage all guests to review this information upon arrival.
Property Tours, Farm Visits & Hiking

Farm tours are offered each morning at 9:00 AM. Please contact the front desk to arrange.

Guided tours of the facility and surrounding property are available upon request.

Hiking trail maps may be obtained from the front desk.
Guests are welcome to explore the grounds but are kindly asked not to enter horse pastures, barns, or outbuildings unless accompanied by a staff member.
